The States of Emergency in the Town of Middletown and the Villages of Margaretville and Fleischmanns, instituted on August 29, have been extended through September 7. This means that all roads and streets are closed to non-essential traffic, and that a curfew is imposed at dusk. Please respect the intent of this proclamation, which is to allow emergency and recovery operations to go forward unhindered by unnecessary traffic and spectators.
The Army National Guard’s presence on security and traffic detail will also continue through at least September 6, when the need for their services will be re-evaluated.
