Coping with Trauma, Grief and Loss

Thayer Case, a psychotherapist with expertise in treating grief, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder and issues related to aging, will give a fee lecture Wednesday, October 26 at 5 p.m. at Mountainside Residential Care Center (MRCC). The talk, “Hurricane Irene and Beyond,” will be held in the Club Med Room.  Sponsored by Margaretville Hospital, MRCC, and the Auxiliary Wellness Committee, this lecture will address the basics: How to identify trauma, loss and grief, and ways we can heal ourselves and our community. The speaker, director of Social Work at Mountainside and Margaretville Hospital, recently received the honor of Social Worker of the Year from the Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley.
