Resettling Displaced People and Businesses

From Peg Ellsworth, Executive Director, The MARK Project:

“We at MARK are continuing to assist those who are displaced due to the storm. We need landlords with available rental units to contact us with specifics. Also, if anyone knows of a displaced individual or family they should contact us immediately 845.586.3500

Our fund for flood relief, recovery and rebuilding will officially begin to accept applications and distribute money as soon as possible. This will help individuals and families with repair, relocation and recovery needs. I am working with several state agencies to see if we can free up resources for planning and rebuilding and economic recovery (both bricks and mortar and business investment). I hope this to be a SOUP to NUTS program when it is ready to be launched (which, by the way, will be expedited in the quickest possible manner). I have already received approval to eliminate the interest on our Business Loans and am also in the process of setting up a loan/grant combo fund.

For those businesses who have been displaced and wish to look at temporary or long term locations they should contact us immediately.”
